This is such a great shot Debra. The action implied and the story are amazing.

Thanks Clifford, I had a lot of fun with this family of cormorants.

I love the wing detail you captured here and what a great pose. She stands out so nicely here above the water and it makes for a beautiful capture, Debra.

Thank you very much for your feedback Heather, much appreciated. I had fun with this cormorant family.

Yves Langlois

You've captured a very nice pose here Debra. Love the contrast of the bird against that amazing soft tone background. and the sharp details of the feathers.

I was sitting on the other end of the dock and the cormorant didn’t seem to mind. I snapped a few pictures of the cormorant at its best while communicated with the youngster. Earlier he had turned and walked half way down the dock towards me curious as ever. I just sat as still as possible. The cormorant turned and went back to the end of the dock. Thanks for your comments Yves always appreciated.

Jane LeBlanc

Looks just like a nagging parent!!! Great series, Debra!

Debra Plett

The cormorant had been chattering at the joint one for a few minutes and then finally opened wide and let it all out. Appreciate the comments Jane.

Description
This adult double-crested cormorant was sitting on a dock just over from the dock that the juvenile double-crested cormorant was sitting on. The adult decided to call out to the youngster to get his attention. I visited this spot a couple of times and the cormorant family was very friendly and very inquisitive. A nice moment in nature with this family of cormorants. Pictures were taken in Riding Mountain National Park.
